Go for a Daily Walk

I will take a walk for 10 minutes each day.

DAILY ACTIONS

Waste

Skip the Straw

Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

DAILY ACTIONS

Waste

Use a Reusable Mug

I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.

It's a soccer practice night, so my family did carry out for dinner. The restaurant was getting ready to put our order into 3 or 4 plastic bags, but I declined. It was a little awkward carrying the individual (compostable) containers our of the place and back home, but it was worth it having a "zero-landfill-waste" dinner!

I leave them behind a lot, but it's great to have reusable bags in the car!

For the EcoChallenge this year, I am focusing on reducing/eliminating waste.
