I've found it really easy to purchase organic local produce grown within 150 miles of my home.   My coop stocks local organics from Siri and Sons in Tualatin.  I've also been to the farmer's market to stock up.

editing my reflection question on locally-sourced meals.  I would have a terrible time giving up almond butter.  I use this as my snack at work and while I'm out on long bike rides.

If you were to only eat what is in season locally, what would be the hardest food item for you to give up?

Avocados would be the hardest to give up if I were to eat only seasonally and locally.  Sadly, I live many miles north of their growing area.  I will not buy them for the next three weeks to maintain my challenge to eat within 150 miles (except coffee of course!).

My local food will be within 150 miles of my home.  My exception to this 150 mile rule is organic whole bean coffee purchased from my CoOp.  I cannot give up coffee for three weeks during the challenge.
