  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Work from Home
It takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. Are you in an industry that would allow you to work from home? What are some obstacles you might find yourself facing while working from home?

My main obstacle is the fridge so I don't keep snacks at home.  Team collaboration and being present in the office for one off requests.  I enjoy being the go to for things and wouldn't have that if I worked from home all the time.  I work from home once or twice a week and do get a lot more done, save gas, emissions, etc
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

    Natalie Sequeira 10/07/2019 1:21 PM
I notice intricacies of houses, plants people have chosen in their yards, wave to neighbors, smile at the kids playing in the park... those are things I wouldn't do or really notice if I was driving.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Ha! Vitamin D deficiency!  I say in jest but still very true!  The smell and feel of the rain is my favorite thing.  It for sure feeds my soul.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Do Nature Activities
What did you observe while spending time outside -- through sight, sound, smell and touch?

    Natalie Sequeira 10/07/2019 1:17 PM
There is beauty everywhere you look.  Birds chirping, the wind in the trees, the smell of the dirt, water and plants and the feel of the wind and rain on my face all make me happy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Similar to you are what you eat, you are what you think.  The more positive thoughts the more positive feelings and actions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Buy From a Farmers Market
What is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

Buy organic... support organic farming, less pesticides released in the environment, better for my body

Hmmm to mow or not to mow...  Mowing less and mushrooms grew!  Wondering about these huge mushrooms....
    Edible? Benefits?
