Kristianna's actions
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Health
Healthy Sleep
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 60 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Waste
Launch a Recycling Program
I will start a recycling program at my workplace or school. If a recycling program exists, I will advocate for ways to improve and expand it.
Transportation
Use Public Transit
I will use public transit 7 mile(s) each day and avoid sending up to 2.27 lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Simplicity
De-Clutter My Home
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Kristianna Segura-Hall 10/08/2019 1:08 PMI would love to shift my sleeping pattern to fall asleep and wake up at the same time ever day. I noticed when I have more of a consistent sleeping pattern even on the weekends I don't tend to wake up as sleepy/tired. Hoping adding 30mins more to my routine will help me regulate my consistency more. What has helped is using the sleep feature on my phone that alarms me when my "bedtime" is approaching about na hour before I am expected to be in bed. This helps as a reminder and gets me to start settling down for bed. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Use Public TransitThe US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not? How would you adjust them if you could?
Kristianna Segura-Hall 10/08/2019 7:37 AMThese numbers do not surprise me at all. I am pretty informed on budget percentage breakdowns with US government money. having lived in 3 states 3 cities in the past 8 years all have the same issue is public transportation and the accessibility/safety of it. I think if public transportation was "safer' and more monitored/had more employees on the buses people would not be scared to ride or allow their kids to ride the bus. I would definitely try to equal it all out. Having that 35% split 10% going to schools, 5% to transportation and 10% to social security. even then that is not enough in either category and honestly that is needed for another question.
