REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Learn More about Food DesertsWhat are the implications of access to nutritious food for a community?
Lisa Schupp 9/18/2019 8:39 AMI did a internet search for "healthy desserts". I have to say, most of them didn't look all that healthy. Low fat yogurt with fresh fruit and perhaps some granola looked pretty good. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Lisa Schupp 9/18/2019 8:34 AMOverall I feel much more alive if I am active at least 30 minutes per day, preferably outside. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this idea?
Lisa Schupp 9/18/2019 8:33 AMI feel better and included healthier food choices when I make meals with whole foods instead of processed food. I can better control the amount of salt, fat, and sugar I consume. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Lisa Schupp 9/18/2019 8:31 AMEat fish in moderation. Though mercury levels are trending lower than 20 years ago, there is still plenty in fish that I eat.
