REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Choose a Carbon OffsetA round-trip flight from New York City to Los Angeles emits just over 1.5 tons of CO2—per person. That’s a lot of carbon! What can you do to reduce the number of flights you take per year?
Jacob Sanchez 10/01/2019 5:56 PMBeing in a long-distance relationship means above average amounts of flights every year. I need to do a better job of buying carbon offsets in the short term but I hope this will decrease long term. Did you know United Airlines allows you to buy carbon offsets using your points?! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHigh Impact Action Track Research Impact InvestingHow might impact investing help you better live your values?
Jacob Sanchez 10/01/2019 5:54 PMI've always been interested in Impact Investing or Socially responsible Investing. It's something I plan to explore as I plan to contribute to my own IRA this year. Does anyone have tips on how best to do this? I hear about Swell.com on NPR... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Jacob Sanchez 10/01/2019 5:52 PMI think buying locally is a really good initiative. I'm thankful that they recently opened a Lucky's near my apartment as they carry alot of produce from local Colorado farms. This helps cut down on emissions from transportation and helps support local businesses. But what is the water sustainability impact as compared to produce grown in California? -
