REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Felica Sah 10/22/2019 6:10 PMI am working o decreasing the amount of meat that I eat daily. I have already cut out pork and red meat, but I need to decrease the amount of fish that I eat. I also need to improve my recycling and composting of food and meal related items. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Felica Sah 10/22/2019 6:07 PMHow to effectively handle stress and time management. I also want to reflect on positive thought processes and increasing my patience with challenging situations. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Felica Sah 10/21/2019 8:41 AMRecyle, repurpose, and reuse! And, also stop buying new things that I really don't need. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Watch a Documentary about Food SovereigntyHow does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?
Felica Sah 10/21/2019 8:39 AMIt provides more resources and options to different communities, and helps provide knowledge and awareness regarding the allocation of resources. -
Felica Sah 10/18/2019 8:31 AMI am learning a lot of new information, and I really like the fact that I am paying more attention to different ways that I can focus on conservation. I also am reducing the amount of drive time that I spend on the roads, and getting more natural exercise by walking. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Felica Sah 10/17/2019 4:39 PMI can take more walks and bike rides [without using a vehicle] with my nieces on the weekends. This will help me with my exercise goals and get us all out in nature more than usual. And, we won't be dependent on vehicles. -
Felica Sah 10/17/2019 9:02 AMMy challenge is going well and I am focusing in on the use of public transportation and walking more [instead of using a car]. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Use Public TransitThe US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not? How would you adjust them if you could?
Felica Sah 10/17/2019 9:00 AMThe numbers presented in the reflection question are a bit surprising and disappointing. If I could adjust the numbers and reallocate resources I would dedicate more for education and also to transportation infrastructure. And, a lot less would go towards military and defense. -
Felica Sah 10/15/2019 12:38 PMMy challenge is going well overall. I still am working on consistency regarding exercising every day. I am learning a lot of useful information regarding different ways to conserve and reuse items. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Car ShareTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Felica Sah 10/15/2019 12:36 PMI have been doing well in riding my bike more often and walking to and from more locations such as the grocery store and the post office [walking also provides a great opportunity for exercise]. I also use public transportation more often on the weekends too.
