Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.

Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.

Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Waste
Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
I will advocate for alternatives to single-use packaging at local grocery stores, markets, at work, or on campus.
Waste
Find Local Recycling Depots
I will spend at least minutes finding out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in my curbside bin.
Food
Whole Foods Diet
I will enjoy 3 meal(s) each day free of processed foods.

Noelle Peutat 10/10/2019 7:54 AMChallenge is doing great. Actually checking the actions i realized i'm doing more things, things that now are totally natural, that i thought.
Then the actions that are left are harder to reach due to the fact that I live in a city, I do not own a car... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this idea?
Noelle Peutat 10/08/2019 7:27 AMI've ct processed fo not only because of health but mainly because of excess packaging -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Advocate For More Food Packaging OptionsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Noelle Peutat 10/02/2019 5:37 AMthe good thing is i don't have to pay for water. good for the planet and for my pocket -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Noelle Peutat 10/02/2019 5:36 AMThis is something that in France is really normal for ages. I find it weird that other countries did not do it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Reduce Single-Use DisposablesBringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Noelle Peutat 10/02/2019 5:33 AMI've started this journey 4 years ago after a trip to Bali and seeing so much plastic everywhere.
I realize that by trying to reduce single use and plastic packaging i actually reduced my food waste because i only buy what i need in bulk and i eat better quality -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Find Local Recycling DepotsOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
Noelle Peutat 10/02/2019 5:32 AMleaving in a city is hard to find a recycling plant. sometimes it is really far from your house and hard to access without a car. I discovered that They do pick up in each neighboorhood which are closer and practical
