An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

    My challenge is going good. I've been meditating and going away from social media for 45 minutes. I also have been taking 5 minute showers and only flushing when nessecary. I don't use plastic straws like I said I would and now, my parents dont use them either. It has been a really calming experience. I have enjoyed this.

      Wow - you've made some big changes!  I'm glad you were able to cut down on screen time.  That's hard to do.
      I use meditation too.  It's relaxing-sometimes I even fall asleep doing it.

      That is so cool!  I think it is awesome that you and your parents don't use plastic straws.  I tried meditating and it is so calming.  I enjoyed these challenges, too.
