Waste Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

Clothes and accessories have never really motivated me. To me it's like buying a new car. The satisfaction it gives wears off over time and then you still have the payment to deal with. I would much rather invest in experiences with family and friends. As for clothes I enjoy finding the special gem in a second hand store even more than buying new off the rack.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I do most shopping at Costco where they supply recyclable boxes and or put in the cart. For all other shopping use a backpack and or bring reusable bags that I keep in the car.
