Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?

With Portland's traffic and lack of parking, I prefer to walk to save time, money, and Mother Earth! In general, if my destination is under 2-miles, I'll plan accordingly to walk. Although I could benefit from better walking shoes and rain-proof gear for the Portland weather, I enjoy multi-tasking--exercise, and getting where I need to go!

The beautiful fall weather was great inspiration to walk to campus, take the FREE inter-campus shuttle, and fill up my reusable coffee mug at the Sylvania cafeteria.

It's the start to a new week! My goal today is to encourage students to take the FREE PCC Shuttle(https://www.pcc.edu/transportation/alternatives/shuttles/).
