REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Alexander Nguyen 10/10/2019 12:21 PMWhen I eat at the table without distractions, (because my mom makes me do so) I really take the time to appreciate every bite of food, and every drop of a drink of my choice. When I eat in my room, I would either go on my tablet or computer and play a game. When i do, I focus more on that than eating the food, and I tend to eat slower, but I don't "feel" like i "taste" the food as much, since i'm focusing more on the game(s). I feel like I have a better eating experience at the table because I can take time to appreciate what my mom and/or family cooks for me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Alexander Nguyen 10/08/2019 1:18 PMUsually when my parents go shopping, they bring along the same bags they keep in their car to put groceries in and take home, where we unpack the groceries and put the bags back into the car to reuse later.
