REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Mina Nava 10/14/2019 8:13 PMThe meal that is hardest for me to practice mindfulness with is dinner. Usually, I would make my meal, sit on the couch, and flip through the channels until I find something I liked to watch while I ate. Sometimes, this takes so long that my food grows cold before I find a show I liked. Today, I made the conscious effort to sit on the dining room table and not turn the TV on while I ate dinner. I find that if I allot dinner time to just eating dinner, I tend to enjoy my meal more and I eat at a slower and more even pace. Also, I am less likely to just leave my plate in the sink and wash it right away if I don't have any distractions.
