Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Health
More Fruits and Veggies
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 2 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
High Impact Action Track
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Waste
Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 4 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHigh Impact Action Track Reduce Single-Use DisposablesBringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Bethany Nabhan 10/11/2019 12:29 PMI have started to buy in bulk when I can to cut down on smaller quantity packaging. That is how I got my oatmeal for this month :) -
Bethany Nabhan 10/09/2019 10:16 AMI have started using handkerchiefs to blow my nose instead of tissues. That saves a lot of paper and the washable, reusable handkerchiefs are stylish! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Bethany Nabhan 10/04/2019 3:48 PMI can turn off lights when I am not in the room and unplug appliances, such as coffee makers and toasters, when I am not using them. I can also lower my thermostat so that I use my heater less.
