I have started using handkerchiefs to blow my nose instead of tissues.  That saves a lot of paper and the washable, reusable handkerchiefs are stylish!

I can turn off lights when I am not in the room and unplug appliances, such as coffee makers and toasters, when I am not using them.  I can also lower my thermostat so that I use my heater less.
