Atoosa's actions
Health
Take Control
Both systemic and personal sustainability are important! I will develop a plan with my medical professionals to achieve my best health and live my life to the fullest.
Transportation
Work from Home
I will work from home 2 day(s) to avoid my commute's carbon output.
Simplicity
Have a Garage Sale
I will have a group garage sale with friends, family, and/or neighbors.
Community
Host a House Party
I will host a house party with 10 friends and/or colleagues to watch a movie or present a guest speaker on an environmental issue that matters to me.
High Impact Action Track
Talk To My Friends and Colleagues
Community
I will research the social or environmental issues in my community that matter to me and tell 2 friends and/or colleagues each day about what I learn.
Waste
Find Local Recycling Depots
I will spend at least 30 minutes finding out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in my curbside bin.
Waste
Personal Waste Audit
I will collect all of my unrecyclable, non-compostable trash to raise my awareness of how much I send to the landfill.
High Impact Action Track
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Waste
Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.
High Impact Action Track
Zero-Waste Cooking
Food
I will cook 1 meal(s) with zero-waste each day
Food
Choose Organic Ingredients
I will enjoy 1 meal(s) cooked with organic ingredients each day.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Food
Organize a Course
I will organize one of Ecochallenge.org's discussion courses on food sustainability - 'Menu for the Future' or 'Hungry for Change', with my family, friends, coworkers, or classmates.

Atoosa Moshashaee 10/23/2019 2:26 PMI love eating apples without being worried that I should peel them due to their preservative wax on their skin. So that is why I prefer to the apple picking and now I can enjoy every bit of it!! -
Atoosa Moshashaee 10/23/2019 2:24 PMDo you know how many different types of food, dessert or snacks could be made with pumpkin? Google it today and have a wonderful foody week! make sure to go to one of the closest farms to your home and buy the pumpkins. Atoosa Moshashaee 10/23/2019 7:53 AMGoing paperless is good. Who imagined one time in the future we go paperless in most of the companies? Good habits if you believe in them and insist on raising awareness can become epidemic. -
Atoosa Moshashaee 10/23/2019 7:50 AMin CEM training, our instructor told us it is a good habit to turn the lights and the monitor off when you do not use them, but those have a small impact on climate change compared to the extra heating you are using or the way you commute. -
Atoosa Moshashaee 10/23/2019 7:47 AMOctober is one of the most beautiful months of the year in Toronto. Everything you see is an amazing view of a nature masterpiesce. Why don't we walk to get the best out of it? -
