REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Get Involved in the Water Justice MovementWho is affected by polluted water or a lack of access to water in your region? How are they affected?
Margaret Morgan 10/03/2019 12:34 PMWe are ALL affected but Gunnison has the largest body of water in Colorado and is one of the headwaters for the colorado River which has huge affects downstream. We have restrictions on salting the roads here, which I am curious about and will need to look into. If we aren't salting the roads for water contamination purposes, why does ANYBODY salt the roads??? Is it ok? Additionally, farmers are a huge use of our water resources here and are heavily affected by floods (this spring) droughts (last summer), affecting their livelihood, wellbeing, land, animals, and the local food production supply of Gunnison County. -
