Nicholas Mattheus 10/16/2019 11:00 AMThe challenges I've been doing the last week have been fun and hard to do. For example, I baked bread instead of buying some from the local supermarket or bakery. I chose this challenge because I love to bake, but it was also hard to find time for myself to get the ingredients and prepare to bake it.-
Susan Niver 10/19/2019 5:31 PMI bet your bread tasted a lot better than the ones you can buy! Keep up the good work!

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Nicholas Mattheus 10/16/2019 10:52 AMWithout any distractions while eating was awkward and relieving at the same time. It was awkward for me personally because because the quietness in the dining room was unsettling and unpleasant, since I'm used to having something going on while eating which was new. But without distractions, it helped me think about my day and what I would like to do after I eat. Maybe have dessert? Play more video games? or just fall asleep on the couch. Overall, the experience was new and hard to adjust, but it was healthy for my mental health.-
Susan Niver 10/19/2019 5:42 PMI'm glad you tried this. Hopefully it will get easier and easier and you'll find some great things to talk about or think about instead! -
