Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 60 minute(s) each day.
Waste
Launch a Recycling Program
I will start a recycling program at my workplace or school. If a recycling program exists, I will advocate for ways to improve and expand it.

Katie Leonard 10/23/2019 12:56 PMI wish I'd been more diligent about tracking my progress while I was gone. I also wish the Eco Challenge would allow you to do more things. Begin limited to 6 or whatever the number was didn't portray the many actions I do every day. -
Katie Leonard 10/16/2019 6:10 PMI’m helping my aunt move and am insisting that we recycle, donate, repurpose and reduce all the things that were slated for the land full. -

Katie Leonard 10/15/2019 10:43 AMOn vacation is hard to remember to check in, but it doesn't mean I'm not doing eco things. Yesterday I asked my 86-year-old grandfather to save his plastic straw and not re-use it for his every day iced coffee drink. He agreed! He also said he would think about a reusable container. You're never too old to change! -
Katie Leonard 10/12/2019 9:58 AMToday I spent my outdoor time at the ABQ balloon fiesta! So amazing and beautiful (and cold!)! -
Katie Leonard 10/08/2019 12:51 PMChallenge going well. I have some suggestions for new challenged EcoChallenge could add for next year.-

Reflection QuestionNature Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Katie Leonard 10/08/2019 12:50 PMYES!!! For me, gratitude is my religion. Always keeping gratitude in the center of my life is important to me. Yoga helps me with this, but also I try to start each day with a grateful heart. -
Reflection QuestionFood Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Katie Leonard 10/08/2019 12:44 PMAs I live in a landlocked state, I don't have as much occasion to eat seafood as I did when I lived on the coast. I eat 2-3 seafood meals per month and I always choose wild-caught and whatever frozen choices have a sustainable seal on them. -
Katie Leonard 10/07/2019 2:01 PMI've been out of town all week, but I'm still doing eco-friendly things! Glad to be held accountable by the Eco-Challenge website. -
