Ava's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.

Ava Kalberer 10/16/2019 5:29 AMI loved this challenge it really made me think of what I was throwing away. I thought that doing this challenge made me think of creative ways to really reduce me trash and even make some cool crafts using 'trash'. For example along time ago I made an earring holder out of a paint canvas and I decided not to put my earrings there anymore so instead of throwing it out I used paper mache to cover the holes and now I have a brand new canvas to paint on.-

Jacquelyn Ruggiero 10/16/2019 5:31 AMThe canvas idea is cool. I think that the way you recycled by making crafts is genius. -
