  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Go by Bike
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking, or driving?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/14/2019 12:56 AM
Yes. I meet a lot of enthusiast over walking, jogging and biking compared to being in driving a car
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/08/2019 11:04 PM
no.. most of my trips within 5 miles are either on foot or on bicycle
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Use Public Transit
The US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not? How would you adjust them if you could?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/08/2019 11:03 PM
would spend less on defense budget and more on infrastructure around transport

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Choose a Carbon Offset
A round-trip flight from New York City to Los Angeles emits just over 1.5 tons of CO2—per person. That’s a lot of carbon! What can you do to reduce the number of flights you take per year?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/03/2019 6:23 AM
try and have more virtual meetings wherever possible.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Work from Home
It takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. Are you in an industry that would allow you to work from home? What are some obstacles you might find yourself facing while working from home?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/03/2019 6:23 AM
Bad power supply affects the work.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/03/2019 6:22 AM
Yes.. Of course.. I'm already doing it

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Join An Outdoor Project
How well do you know the area you live in? In what ways is a deep knowledge of your surroundings -- known as a 'sense of place' -- important to you?

    Sachin K's avatar
    Sachin K 10/03/2019 6:22 AM
It's very important to me to understand what we can do to enhance the environmental factors in our area. Start small with our neighborhood and bring the changes to others
