  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

At my apartment, the water tastes horrible, like chlorine and it think that's an issue with a lot of people living in cities. My roommates and I invested a water purifier so now we all use reusable bottles instead of buying plastic water bottles.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

By not buying so much new clothing, not eating out as often, and using reusable bags more often.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

Try to carry in my hands, otherwise I would have to accept a plastic bag. I could fold up a reusable bag in my backpack and purse so I always have one available.

By creating ways to reuse, or take things no longer in use and turn it into something useful instead of going and buying new things.
