Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

Infrastructure is the biggest impediment to use of reusable bottles.  In places where water fountains are outfitted with bottle fillers its much easier to use reusable water bottles.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

I think the key for me was getting a mug that I'm excited to use every day.  I have a fun mug with a cute cat on it that says "i am a naughty cat" so every day I look forward to using it.  It also helps that there is now infrastructure in the break room to wash mugs so I don't have to take mine home periodically to give it a proper wash

    Transportation Go by Bike
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking, or driving?

I feel more in tune with my community and with the environment when I ride my bike.  In a car I can hop in, turn on the ac, and tune out.  On a bike I need to consider what the temperature will be like, will it rain, how windy is it.  Also there's nothing between me and my neighbors, so I'm far more likely to share a friendly wave or stop and see if a fellow cyclist has everything they need to fix a flat.
