Praharshith's actions
Waste
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.
Energy
Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 3 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.
Energy
Adjust the Thermostat
I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Waste
Go Paperless
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 3.4lbs (1.5kg) a month or 41lbs (18.6kg) a year by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

Praharshith Gurajala 10/22/2019 7:27 PMI have started carrying reusable bags to the grocery store off late. It cuts down on so much waste. In addition many super markets recycle their plastic bags. In case you have lot of them, please make it a point to drop them off at a recycling station the next time you go for a grocery run. -

Praharshith Gurajala 10/20/2019 12:15 PMIt’s a good idea to carry your own cutlery to with you, when eating outside. That way we can reduce single use plastics. If not, request for silverware wherever you can.
