Courtney Groszhans 10/23/2019 9:49 AMI'm so proud of our CLEAResult Team! When you look at our team page, you can really see the impact we have had as an organization. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/22/2019 10:43 AMTracking my purchases has made me more mindful about where I spend my money and how much I am spending. Since I started tracking, I notice a big difference in how I spend. By writing it down, I have cut out a lot of "mindless" spending and also made me aware of how much I was actually spending every day. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/21/2019 12:06 PMI have really started to notice that I am becoming more positive by writing down things I am grateful for! -
Courtney Groszhans 10/21/2019 10:40 AMI went to the Farmer's Market this weekend! By consuming locally grown food, we can greatly reduce our carbon footprint and the use of oil. It is also a nice way to cut down on waste if you bring your own bags. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/18/2019 2:41 PMI need to set aside more time to actually sit in nature. That is still the one challenge that I have been struggling with the most. I think it is hard for me to not only find time to exercise but to also be in nature for 10 minutes. I am going to try to do it once this weekend! -
Courtney Groszhans 10/17/2019 9:32 AMI made it 2.5 days without spending any money! When you track, you really do spend less. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/15/2019 9:51 AMYesterday was my first day tracking that I did not spend any money at all! I am trying to see how long I can go without spending anything. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/15/2019 9:49 AMI watched "The True Cost" about fast fashion. It was recommended by someone who did the Plastic Free Challenge in July, and you can watch it on Amazon Prime. It is about the "fast" fashion industries such as Zara, H & M, and basically anywhere that sells cheap clothing. It goes into why the clothing is so cheap and the true cost to the environment and to people in making cheap clothes. I couldn't believe some of the figures the documentary stated! How in the past forty years how things have changed, that we buy so many more clothes (I think it said we buy 400% more clothing than compared to 40 years ago). I think in the movie it states that 80% of clothes in the 1960s were made in the United States and now 90% of them are made abroad (figures could not be right but it was something like that!). It is a hard watch but important to know. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Track my PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Courtney Groszhans 10/14/2019 10:41 AMI notice that I spend a lot more money throughout the day then I had previously thought! It is mostly grocery store purchases. I live close to a lot of grocery stores and I noticed I stop by them and buy food almost daily. I want to be more mindful about where I am spending my money and tracking it is a great way to do so. I can be more mindful about meal planning and eating the food I already have at home rather than stopping by the store everyday to pick up food. -
Courtney Groszhans 10/14/2019 10:39 AMI need to make more time to spend time in nature. That is the one I keep forgetting to do through out my day. I have only done it once so far, but I would like to remedy that!
