REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Walk InsteadHalf of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?
Jack Gibbons 10/08/2019 6:38 AMIn DC especially, a large majority of trips are likely less than 3 miles and a good proportion are probably less than half that. Instead of using ride-share apps, a little extra time allocated to walking could eliminate a great deal of vehicle miles driven.
