REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Linda Gerber 10/19/2019 1:23 PMI'm going paperless with my medical correspondence and records a Kaiser. Also, going paperless for other bills. I did discover, however, that my insurance company won't even email me a bill to give me a heads up about renewing my policy annually. REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Linda Gerber 10/14/2019 4:28 PMReusing and up cycling are two activities that require creativity. If I have a need for something, I ask, “What else could serve the same purpose.” If I have something I no longer need, I ask, “What other purpose could this serve?” -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHigh Impact Action Track Reduce Single-Use DisposablesBringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Linda Gerber 10/14/2019 4:24 PMOn vacation with my family now and trying to avoid single use plastic but, wow, it’s hard to do. I have responded to a satisfaction survey at the hotel we’re staying, praising them for the sustainable practices and suggesting improvements they could make. -
Linda Gerber 10/09/2019 12:30 PMI’m Mari Kondo-ing my kitchen drawers. So much clutter, so many tools I no longer use. Big opportunity to get those heart-shaped hot cake molds back in circulation. Little kids love ❤️ hot cakes.
