Went to Brentwood Park last night to explore something new. Brentwood Park is on the powerline trail and is a slope. It was a journey getting to the top but what a great view from up there! I'm glad I picked this park that's on my way home to explore!

Brentwood Park on SE 60th ?  Any chance you mean Mt Tabor, as Brentwood is almost flat, hence the soccer and baseball fields.  :-)   Cheers for exploring!  Ak

Almost done with the challenge! I think I have learned where I'm doing well (bringing my own mug/water bottle, not using plastic bags, etc) and where I have room to improve (reducing driving is my big one).

It's always the people that can't afford to leave. When a hurricane is approaching Florida and everyone is told to evacuate, a lot of people don't have the resources to evacuate. It's not stubbornness that keeps people at home in a dangerous situation, it's because they don't have anywhere to evacuate to. On a smaller scale from hurricanes. when a local river starts getting polluted, people with resources leave.

I've been hearing more and more about Terracycle lately. I went to the website today and discovered there's a lot of recycle programs that are free! Terracycle recycles items that aren't accepted curbside. Most of the programs have a fee, but brands are starting to sponsor recycling of their packaging to make it free! So great!
