Madalyn Drury 10/09/2019 2:26 PMSo far my challenge is going pretty good! I forgot to sign into my account the first week and reflect but over the course of those couple days I was genuinely trying to complete my goals! Today I tried double sided printing with my printer. I could have been doing it with all my other notes but I never took the time to manually switch the paper over because my printer does now have the double sided printing setting. Today, I also used reusable cup and a reusable straw for my drinks. When I would leave my room I focused on remembering to turn off all of my lights and electronics while I was gone. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Madalyn Drury 10/09/2019 2:23 PMPracticing gratitude can help keep me motivated and centered by helping me to continue to think about all the positive things in my life. Sometimes I get stuck on all the negative things that are going on in my life or around me and I forget about the things that I am truly grateful for. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Madalyn Drury 10/08/2019 9:35 AMI could incorporate time with friends and family into my exercise routine by asking them if they would want to come out to the gym with me or go for a run/walk outside. This gives the the opportunity to spend time with them and have a conversation to catch up on what's been going on in their lives. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Madalyn Drury 10/08/2019 9:33 AMFor me sometimes it seems to be easier to be able to just quickly grab a plastic water bottle that is already filled up and ready to go, rather than take the extra minute or so to grab a reusable one and fill it with tap water. I know it sounds bad, but sometimes when I'm in a hurry in the morning I don't always have that extra minute to spare.
