Why is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?

It's an incredible number, one person contributing to so much of the waste daily with zero knowledge of the impact. I am on the personal challenge of going zero waste daily.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

Yes, especially pool to work over booking a cab or taking your own vehicle. Use Ola/Uber  pooling options and Quickride for commute as much as possible.

NGOs can be helped recognize such zones better and have periodic sale of their items in your neighborhood. Increase awareness of such upcoming events.

Reduce: buying products with minimum waste, reducing waste generated from my household.
Reuse: using plastic mineral water bottles purchased during travel as home drinking water bottles over buying more bottles.
Refuse: Refusing cutlery and extra packaging materials from takeaways.
Repair: Helping the air around me heal itself my planting trees in my vicinity.
Repurpose: Using paper and other packaging material for covering books and the large containers for personal item storage.
