Recycle Everything I Can
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.

Ethan DeHayes 10/05/2019 10:57 AMI have been researching on the Recycling topic, and have come up with some ways that could help the recycling problem. Did you know that according to GREEN AMERICA.ORG that The EPA estimates that 75% of the US waste stream can be recycled or composted, but we're only doing just over 34% of it. In my own town of Brookhaven, we don't recycle glass anymore. I think that every type of material should have its own section. Let me explain what I mean. There should be one bin for plastic, one bin for glass, one bin for metal, one bin for cardboard, and one for just regular garbage. The garbage people will come and pick them up one by one on different days. I think that if garbage was organized like this, it would cause less piles of cans, and bottles that you would find on the floor. I also feel that people need to actually recycle. Not enough people in this world actually recycle because they don't think that they actually make a difference. Another way that can help make a difference is that we can find things that we find useful or reusable that some people would want to throw away. We can save money this way, and the Earth by re-purposing those items. In other words one mans trash is another mans treasure.-
Kimberly Marino 10/14/2019 9:54 PMI agree, this would definitely make things less confusing which would ultimately encourage more people to recycle in he first place. I think glass would be a little harder to recycle but only because you don't normally end up throwing it out often unless you break something. Either way I agree with your idea so good job.
