  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Switch to Cold Water
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

With the money I save from making more energy efficient choices I can put more money into my student loans! :)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

Sometimes venues do not have stations to make it easy to fill up water bottles. Sometimes the pipes in a older buildings make the water taste funny. I try to always carry a reusable bottle with me not just for water but for when I may want to make tea.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Use Public Transit
The US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not? How would you adjust them if you could?

I am not surprised by these percentages. The US government really likes to defend themselves. If I could adjust them, I would lower the defense budget and start working towards creating greater public transportation infrastructure. Better train system perhaps?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Faith Curammeng's avatar
    Faith Curammeng 10/12/2019 2:12 PM
I can invite friends into my workout routine. We can go on walks, runs, or hikes together.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Faith Curammeng's avatar
    Faith Curammeng 10/12/2019 2:11 PM
In richer countries there is more access to meat. The price for meat tends to be lower in richer countries. Eating more meat creates demand and drains the resources to keep the cows alive in order to kill them for meat.
