By participating in this challenge I quickly realized that if everyone does a few good deeds each day, it makes a large impact in the community and around the country.

What inspires you to act toward a more sustainable community?

The thing that inspires me to act toward a more sustainable community is the kids that I teach at The Dancing Turtle. The dancing turtle has always shown me what a sustainable community is and I would like to try and preserve for the future so that they can experience the same support that I experienced.

Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

When walking in my neighborhood tonight it was really sketchy the last five minutes of the walk. Before the end of the walk it was super soothing and peaceful tonight.

Water Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Where are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?

My closest natural body of water is the Rio Grande. It may be affected by getting contaminated with chemicals or bacteria from the water running into the river.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Buy From a Farmers Market
What is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

One food choice that I make is stuffed green peppers. I make these with organic home grown green peppers, wild rice and local cheese from a local farmer that I know. I make These peppers so that I can warm them up for the following days lunch and dinner.

How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

I can incorporate having quality time with friends while dancing. This is a great way to exercise all of your muscles and build strong bonds with friends and mentors.
