  • REFLECTION QUESTION
High Impact Action Track Stay on the Ground
What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

The process for restructuring my trip was better because we were on ground for a long time, and I had more room to sleep while traveling. I can avoid more air travel in the future by convincing my family to have a road trip, which is even better because you have lots of time to be just with your family,.

I told my family about the eco challenge and about turning off any power of electricity that we are not using.

Every morning, day, and night, I water my grass, plants, and bushes, so it can grow, and I make sure I do it everyday so it can help grow.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

Today, my little brother grabbed a straw to drink his water. Then, my parents called him upstairs, so I took the straw, put it back in the cabinet, and he forgot all about it.

Everyday, it is my job to water the grass. I watered the grass for 10 minutes, and now my grass in the backyard and front lawn is growing grass better than ever!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yesterday, I was outside for a long time. I was, walking my dog for about 10 minutes, I practiced soccer for another 10 minutes, and I jogged around my community with my dad which also took about 10 minutes. So that means, I averaged about 30 minutes of being outside doing great things to help me live my life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Turn it off
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

    Danny Cruz's avatar
    Danny Cruz 10/04/2019 8:26 AM
This morning, before school, I told my father that he needs to stop wasting electrical energy since my family is never turning off the lights, tv, and sometimes leaves the sink running water. We need to stop doing this or we'll get more combustion, and will have a polluted environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Happiness
How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Every morning and night, I pray to God for covering his precious blood over me everyday, keeping me safe. Also, I thank him for waking me up every morning to have a great day at school, helping me keep up the good work to get rewarded by my parents to get anything. And, out of school for helping me mature everyday, listen to my family, and do my chores to get rewarded more times than school. I love God, and I make sure I always praise him!
