    I'm not good at self care, which is why making an appointment was a big deal to me.

    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    I'm single and foods are often packaged in such large quantities that it can be difficult for me to eat everything before it spoils. Rather than throwing food away, I'd rather save that money for a vacation.
