REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Keena Burt 10/01/2019 9:57 AMI am the absolute WORST when it comes to food waste at home. I have lofty ideas about preparing all of these meals and then end up going out instead or just don't feel like eating what I planned to make, and the food goes to waste. See? I'm terrible. My goal is to prep meals for 4 days a week and actually eat those meals, whether I feel like eating it that day or not. It saves so much money and reduces waste at the same time, so why not? :)
