On Saturday, I volunteered at the Albina Co-Op. I raked, tilled and pulled weeds and planted over 50 garlic bulbs! It was a lot of work but well worth it. I found out from my volunteer leader that 20% of the food harvested is donated to either the children's hospital or local food pantry's. I'm headed back this Saturday for round two and I'm looking forward to it!
