REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
Ruth Bingaman 10/14/2019 7:59 AMSpending time outdoors allows you to put things into perspective. I believe if you truly reflect on the beauty of nature, you fill find your place and feel a sense of peace. So glad I got so spend this weekend outdoors and with nature. It is good for the soul! -

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Ruth Bingaman 10/02/2019 10:32 AMUse nature as much as possible. Use the sunshine for light and heat. For example, read a book using the light from a window instead of a lamp. Limit the use of electronics and power them down when not in use. Adjust the thermostat a few degrees (cooler in the fall/winter) and warmer in the summer. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Ruth Bingaman 10/02/2019 10:23 AMI believe when you truly see the beauty of nature you will do all that you can to keep it beautiful. On the flip side, seeing the damage we are causing this earth (photos of the ocean of trash and videos of marine life caught in plastic) can also move you to want to be part of the solution.
I am grateful I live in the Pacific Northwest and can enjoy the beauty around me! -
