  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

I need to prep my water consumption the night before and fill reusable bottles.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Practice Gratitude for Earth
Kathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?

Feeling grateful reminds me to give back to others, to be kind to others, to pause and wait before I respond so I don't just react.  If all individuals did that, then as a society, the world would be a better place!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
Father Thomas Berry says, "...our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." Respond to Berry's assertion.

I can see the sun rise every day from my bedroom.  And depending upon the time of year, I can watch it rise as I run before work.  It is a beautiful thing and helps me remember to be grateful each and every day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Sue Beam 10/02/2019 6:55 AM
I think expensive meat is thought of as being a luxury food item.  People sometimes brag about the great steak they ate.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
