REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Susana Ayala 10/14/2019 8:18 AMWhen walking around my neighborhood I am able to take in the scenery and observe what is around me. When driving I don't often get to observe as I'm focused on where I am headed to. Walking also gives me the opportunity to stop and say hello to a few of my neighbors who are also walking around the neighborhood. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Susana Ayala 10/08/2019 8:20 AMI have been struggling lately with getting sufficient sleep even when I am physically active. I have started "ignoring" my phone an hour before going to bed and leaving it far from my nightstand so that I am not tempted to grab it if I'm struggling with falling asleep. I've noticed that I tend to fall asleep faster (even though I feel like I am not) and can usually get 7-8 hours of sleep on those nights. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Susana Ayala 10/03/2019 11:28 AMFor a while I had discontinued exercising because I felt guilty that I was not spending enough quality time with my toddler and hated to come home from work and then leave her again. I was able to find an outdoor boot camp that allows me to take my toddler with me, she will run with me and jumps around as she thinks we are playing a game. I love it because I get to exercise and have her with me and it keeps her active as well.
