REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Bella Aragon 10/19/2019 11:28 PMBarriers that I use include using the water fountain at taekwondo and at school. Another way I am able to create a barrier between not using bottled water is using a reusable water bottle that I am able to fill up through out the day when needed. I can make this a permanent habit by opting for the reusable water bottle and using water fountains in public places rather that using bottled water. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Bella Aragon 10/19/2019 11:26 PMI can incorporate spending time with friends and nature into my exercise routine because I can exercise with my taekwondo teammates at a near by dam, where we are able to run and work on our cardio. Cardio with help strengthen us through strengthening our endurance, which will help later on in tournaments. We will also strengthen our bond as friends and teammates by spending more time together exercising. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Bella Aragon 10/19/2019 11:21 PMIt does not surprise me at all. The reason that it does not surprise me is because we, as people living in society are used to doing what we want and when we want. The same goes for what we feel we are going to eat and what we are going to throw away or waste from our food. I would rather use this money to donate to foundations that provide food for the less fortunate who can't afford food, much less to waste any of it.
