  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

I am a shopaholic and buy way too much food; some of which I throw away or I buy more because I didn't realize I already had it.  I just emptied my refrigerator and pantry of everything that was expired and try to use up what I have before buying more. This is a difficult challenge for me and I have to work extra hard to obtain this goal.

I just joined today; however, I was raised in a house where you turned off the lights when you leave a room. This still sticks with me and sometimes I turn off the light and forget someone is still there. :)

That is what motion sensor light switches are for. Makes sure they turn off even when we forget.
