It helps you think more about the world and how you are not only helping yourself but you are helping others.

I didn't think I was addicted to sugar but when I do eat sugar it is easy to realize how you could get addicted.  Not eating sugar does make your whole body feel better from your teeth to your stomach.   I also don't miss the sleepy slump you get a couple hours after eating sugar.

Spending time with friends is way to meditate and reflect, it is a stress reliever to talk through your troubles or joys.

It helps me remember that the world is bigger than me and being grateful for all the things we are given is a quick way to appreciate all things around us.
