     I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned about my neighborhood after walking around in it more often. It helped me feel more connected and appreciative.

    This has been a very helpful practice. I've started asking myself if I'll use the item I'm about to buy more than five times. If the answer is no or maybe, I've learned to pass on it.
