I went to my local hazardous recycling day.  It was quite the production.  The volunteers did not want us out of our cars and would unload all the paint, oil, glycol, etc, etc. The cost was $3. a gallon.

Yum compost - needs some greens, tossing, and a little water.

I have been accumulating brake fluid this racing season.  Brake fluid for race cars is silicon based, but  standard DOT 3/4 contains DEG, (kind of like radiator fluid).  This sweet tasting substance is poisonous and would kill an animal that mistakenly drinks it.  The local racetrack takes it but auto parts stores do not.  My local city will take it this Saturday Oct 12.
