    Transportation Improve a Bus Stop
    How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

    Infrastructure changes would make the largest impact in getting people to use an alternative transportation method. Things like protected bike lanes, walking trails, designated bus lanes and express bus routes make it easier and more enjoyable for the public to use.

    Taking public transit has really helped me accomplish my daily goal of spending time in nature by taking the walking trails to my bus stop instead of the main road.

    Have a great weekend!! Remember we don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly, we need millions of people doing it imperfectly. Every little change helps make our planet a better place.

    How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Rather than going to a gym I try to find group activities that are fun but also give you a work out, like paddle boarding. Recently I’ve been doing different exercises while I walk the ½ mile to and from the bus daily.

    decided to ditch the car for the weekend and utilized public transit including the bus, light rail and ferry while in WA.

    BTW the City of Portland is #2 of all organizations participating and #18 of all teams. BHR is leading the way for the City! Keep up the great work!
